Getting Goosed by WCSV..and I like it.

One of my recent projects involves using by design and illustration skills for charitable causes.  My most recent project involves illustrating a rather interesting goose for the Wildlife Center of Silicon Valley.  I really won’t say what it is yet, but I will say it is rather tough and funny at the same time (something of a specialty for for, I think).    I enjoy doing such works, for several reasons.  First of all, using one’s skills for purely altruistic reasons is gratifying.   Knowing you can do something relatively few people can do and lend a service to your fellow man (and in this case, your fellow living creatures) gives me a warm and happy sense of being.

Secondly, I am new here, and it is cool that I can use my skill to connect with people.  Some of these people that perhaps someday  I can call friend.  People who, if I do a good job (my intention, I assure you!) may be able to give me leads on more commissions and leads.   Right now, few people even know of my existence in this town.  But bit by bit, if I am diligent, I can make this change.  The change is so much sweeter though when one can effect one’s own life, and possibly help others.

Now off to getting goosed!  I want to get this bird flying!

About Rhett Kennedy

An east coast transplant living in San Jose CA, and loving it. I am a master of useless trivia (medieval and ancient culture, a smattering of politics, ukulele and fan of most forms of music). I know life insurance, audio visual technology, commerical and fine art nd love to sing scottish ballads. I'm happily strange and enjoy strange people as a result.
